At the moment I am Working as a Web Designer Freelancer from my home office in Ottawa ON. I am currently available for new projects. My goal is to build professional websites that are easy to navigate.

During my graduation in Media Studies I fell In Love with electronic design, especially for the web. Ever since then, I have been working in the area. I build mostly HTML websites, but sometimes I go for a flash adventure too. I use a lot of Adobe programs and I like to mix elements for better results.

I built my first web site in 2007 as a personal project. It was a travel website that I built to share some of my international experiences with the general public. Surprisingly this website was a big success receiving more than 10 thousand visits a month in the 1st year.

After that I started to design other websites for small businesses, family members and friends. I also took a Web Designer course at a web school in Belo Horizonte Brazil, that led me to a short but very good experience working for an e-commerce company before I came to Canada in 2009. There I learned how the design of a website is important for the success of a business. And really, it is more than important: it is essential.

After these experiences I decided to take my web designing career to the next level and start working with printed material (Logos, Flyers, Business cards, Pamphlets etc.), blog setup, website maintenance, website facelift and other related tasks.

I became interested in Web Design when studying at university. I completed my studies at Faculdade Promove in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where I graduated in Media Studies in December 2008.

During this course I had lots of theoretical and practical classes that gave me a good idea of what it was like to work as Web Designer. Presently I apply a lot of knowledge that I learned in University in my work. The 2 most important classes that I refer to almost every day are: Information Architecture (methods of organizing and labelling websites, intranets, and online communities, transforming a web site more friendly and easy to navigate) and Graphic Design (theoretical details about colors, alignment, friendly setups and others).
